Advanced Glassblowing Course 2

Glassblowing Advanced Course 2 is intended for those who have completed Glassblowing Advanced Course 1.

First, you will free-blow a vase colored with frit. Next, you will make a vase from solid color, transfer the object to the punty, and finish the rim of the vase by driving it open. The driven-open vase is ready for the annealing oven.

The lesson is conducted either as private tuition or in a small group of two. The minimum age for the course is 16 years.

Glassblowing instruction includes:

• a reminder of safety matters
• introduction to glassblowing, approximately 2.5-3 hours
• the two vases you create, which can be collected later, once I have finished grinding and polishing the rim of the frit-colored vase.
